Repair Cafe coming soon!!

Despite Lockdown preventing the launch of a Repair Café for Macclesfield there have been exciting developments taking place. Discussions have taken place to see if the Repair Café could be attached to Scoop and Scales as the two ventures share many of the same objectives and we have agreed this in principle. The Old Sunday School (OSS) would make the ideal venue and the OSS Management are very supportive, using this space on a Saturday once a month looks a real possibility. There are some details to sort out and the timing will depend on the lifting of Lockdown restrictions. At present there is a Repair Cafe team of 10 keen to help and this includes a range of skills from actual repair skills (fabric and clothing repair, IT and electronics repair, small appliance repair and bike repair) to ‘front of house’ and admin skills. We can always use more help so please get in touch if you want to join us.
We’ve been busy over lockdown getting on with repairs at home…….
