A repair café is where people gather to work on repairing household objects like bicycles, clothing, electronics and mechanical devices.

The idea is to promote using pre-existing items rather than buying a new one, which would impact the environment.

Trip to hear a talk by George Monbiot

Regenesis: Feeding the World Without Devouring the Planet

We are taking a trip over the hills to hear leading environment writer George Monbiot discuss how we can feed our planet in a greener way.

Meet at Macc bus station at 11am (the bus leaves at 11.15!). To see if you can board en route see here

The talk is at the Opera House and runs from 12.30 – 1.30. You need to pre-purchase your own ticket (£15) via this link: George Monbiot | Buxton Opera House
(if you are unable to attend due to cost, please get in touch with us)

Depending on numbers, we can get lunch at the Herb Garden or the Pavillion Cafe. Or you are welcome to go and do your own thing.

The bus then returns to Macc at about 2.30 from the Pavillions and arrives back just after 3 (you can stay longer if you wish).

2021 saw the first eco-summit, organised by Macclesfield Town Council and Mactastic. The event showcased lots of amazing individuals and groups doing great stuff. It also generated a long list of ideas to take forward.

Come along to the town hall to find out what has happened since October, with a short presentation (with a cameo from us!) and then an opportunity for Q&A and to meet the groups.

We are delighted to be a stallholder and this amazing event put on by The Roe-Naissance Project and Christ Church.

Visit Christ Chrurch’s annual winter festival.

The Projects will be decorating the Church in lights for all to enjoy with special features such as Crafts, Circus Skills, and Santa!!!

Many of you may have seen the little Green Fest we had in Bollington a few weeks back, and we always wanted to host one in Macclesfield!

We have the pleasure of using the building and grounds of Christ Church,👍🏼

Stalls with focus around local businesses, Eco Groups and those with greener initiatives. 💚 Our shop will be open as usual, and we will have a stall at Christ Church.
